Heather Lewis is honored to serve as the new Director of the USA National Miss Southwest Regional Pageant. With more than 15 years of experience in the pageant industry, Heather has served as a state director, choreographer, judge, mentor, and pageant mom. Her well-rounded perspective and genuine passion for helping young women grow make her excited to lead and continue the legacy of the USA National Miss program through Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and spent 10 years teaching middle school English. She also studied classical ballet for 15 years, trained in ballroom dance, and performed in numerous plays and musicals. Her background in education and the performing arts has shaped her commitment to helping young women develop confidence, communication skills, stage presence, and the courage to pursue meaningful goals.
Heather’s pageant journey began alongside her daughter, Sophie, in 2008. Together, they have experienced firsthand the friendships, personal growth, leadership opportunities, and commitment to service that pageantry can inspire. Sophie was crowned the 2021 Miss Lone Star State for USA National Miss and currently serves as Miss Kansas within the Miss America Organization. These experiences have further strengthened Heather’s appreciation for the lasting impact a positive pageant experience can have on a young woman and her family.
As Director, Heather looks forward to creating an uplifting, professional, and memorable experience where every contestant feels seen, supported, and celebrated. She is passionate about building a Southwest Regional program that develops confident young women, strengthens communities, and empowers each participant to recognize that her unique qualities are her greatest strengths.
